did i ever say they weren’t true? that wasn’t the point of my response. i’m just saying that hate messages are idiotic since it’s obviously not going to change my opinion on her, no matter how true they might be. although, i do have a ton of problems with the message the person sent in general.

• “filthy” is a strong word. there’s the teeth thing, but that is the only thing i can think of that would be close to reaching filthy levels. she puts on an image that some people would call trashy but i don’t actually believe she would be “filthy”. she’s not walking around covered in grease and dirt 24/7, jesus fuck.
• i don’t believe that someone having an addiction in itself is a reason to hate a person. it’s a disease. she is an addict, and i never denied that. but, addiction is a heartbreaking and horrible thing and it isn’t easy. people act like it’s some kind of walk in the park that is easy to end at any point, or that can be “cured” in one rehab trip. it’s a lifelong battle. there is a stigma with drug/alcohol addicts that make people think they’re automatically horrible people. it’s not the case. just like i wouldn’t hate someone for having an eating disorder, i wouldn’t hate someone for having addictions. obviously there are situations where addiction can lead to hurting the people around you, but obviously, as fans, lindsay has never personally hurt us in that way. in fact, the only person she seems to be hurting is herself. i don’t think that is grounds to hate her. i therefore think it’s a stupid argument.
• ugh, the whore thing. you mentioned it yourself. there is no problem with someone being sexual. in fact, it makes me like her more that she isn’t afraid of being sexual. society has a thing against women being sexual, whereas men can be as sexual as they want, and all they usually get are a “boys will be boys”. it’s ridiculously sexist. slut shaming is gross, end of. therefore, again, not a reason to hate her in my opinion.
